Marines, and although they do not claim to have reached their objective, they are making marked progress .according to a release this week by Ray Walters, Price postmaster. The Marine corps institute in Washington has graduated 8,000 students, some of them from Hawaii, China and the Philippines. All instructors are Marines who have been trained for teaching, while instruction is free. Among the institutes graduates are lawyers, public accountants, carpenters, radiomen and engineers. Most pf the sea soldier students en- roll for civil service courses prepara- tory for future government positions. Approximately 1500 graduate eachj year from the school which began in 1920 with only a few students.
