This information was given by Mentor George Young of the Dinosaurs this week following information that the eastern Emery county squad will invade the maple courts here for a crack at the locals. The game is scheduled for 8 oclock. Carbon Vengeful It will be a vengeful unit of players that takes the floor against Green River. Carbons stock has dropped considerably since their double losses of the current season. Last week the Moab quint took them for a long ride while the week previous south Emery topped a good score. While many fans have hopes of seeing the Carbonites s, those compete in the state hopes have been dimmed and upon the results of this game will hinge strong possibilities of the locals advancement. Coach Worried Coach Young is regarded as being perplexed with the outfit. While they are a aggregation, their is not up to par and they have difficulty in finding the basket when attempting shots. In the last two games played here, observers found that they resorted to frequent scrambles tossing their shots at random and minus consistent form. Their foul shots were also off balance occassionally, either bounding off the or reflexing on the rim of the hoop. Remedies Tried Remedies for these defects were being, tried this week during the practice sessions. Young devoted periods to a number of phases, attempting to build up the attacks and tighten the defensive plays. Whether or not the sessions accomplished anything, will be seen in tomorrows game. Green River is said to have a good outfit. Nothing definite has been given as to their season but it was said they are formidable foes and will present plenty of competition for the locals. They have the added advantage of a number of previous practices and it was reported that several of last years players are again in ranks. have not been anStarting line-uCoach nounced by either team. Carbon and Moab met on the high school floor before a number of local fans, with the invaders chalking up a 4 final. Lead Locals Displaying evidences of numerous tedious practice sessions, the visiting quint held the' upper hand throughout the entire game and although Carbon attempted a rally, ended the game consistently in their own favor. Moab handled the situation with a degree of ease and skill, presenting a smooth-workiteam which hung together and worked their scores without too much effort, but never allowing the locals an ample opportunity for an outstanding scoring spree. Many Fouls Fans who witnessed the tilt said it was a affair, but that after the opening maneuvers had been completed, both teams opened their attacks. Numerous fouls dotted the four quarters, being called on both teams. A number of spills and tangles on the part of the playerj was also evidenced. Carbons only actual scoring threat came in the third quarter when they Moab pushed the Moabians pulled away however, and the locals made only one more score.
