Also there was a Region Five meeting at 10 a.m. at South Summit with UJS.D. Thursday, April 27. The Senior class traveled to the State Prison for a tour and visited the Stock Exchange. Also a few select members of S jS. will go to USU to participate in the Model United Nations. This will go on until Friday, April 28. SSHS-Whi- le back at SB. on this day the tennis team will be preparing to participate in the BYU Invitational at BYU. Then Saturday, April 29 the track team will go to BYU where the Invitational track meet and a BYU Girl's Day will be held.-B- ill Warden SSHS Friday April 14 the Junior Class held its traditional dance, the Junior Prom. Junior Proms have a magical effect on people. Girls are transformed into beauties and even the boys look nice. It's the night of your dreams. This years prom was a real success. The summer scene in blue and white was pretty and the promenade and King and Queen made it real special. The Summer of '42 is a dream come true for the class of 73. SSHS That wasn't all the dances held last week. On Saturday April 15, the Junior High classes held their own Prom, which was a success. The music was provided by the S JS, Stage Band and refreshments were served to those in attendance. Wins Seminary Bowling Honors Coalville Team Thursday, April 20 at Heber in the new Wasatch Stake Center, the Seminary Bowl Competition was held. The Coalville Seminary was represented by an Old Testament and Book of M ormon team. Those who participated Over 1,000 students participated in the Region 5 Band and Choral Music Festival Thursday, April 20, 1972 at Morgan High School. Band Adjudicators were Lawrence Bird, U of U; A. C. Cook, Ogden City Schools; Wes Berry, Orem High School. Choral Adjudicators were Ron Wooden, Weber State College; Leo Dean, Hill Crest High School; Norman Wendell, Granger High School. Ratings: 1 indicatesSuperior; 2 indicates Excellent; 3 indicates Good. Morgan Eighth Grade Band, 2; Morgan Mixed Chorus, 1 minus; Wasatch Jr. High Band, 2 plus; South Summit Chorus, 2 plus; Park City Band, 2; Morgan Acappella Choir, 1; Wasatch Senior Band,-- 2 plus; Grants-- " ville Chorus, 2; Morgan Concert Band, 2 plus. The program moved smoothly and on schedule. Audiences were quiet and attentive, although several were coming or going between numbers. Elementary students came in groups and paid good attention. Custodians were pleased with the care with which the practice rooms were used and were left in good condition. on the Old Testament team were Pauline Martin, captain; Denise Evans, Kathy Passey, Margie Pace, Susan Rees, and Steven Jones. Those who participated on the Book of Mormon team were Lynn Dearden, Captain; CherylWinters,SheriSny-de- r, Bruce Chappell, Kay Williams and Gary Richins. The Book of Mormon team received first place with 1100 points, with Heber receiving second place with 800 points. The Old Testament team received second place with 600 points. Kamas Old Testament team received first with 622 points. Our instructor Myron Richins was thrilled because this is the first time the Coalville teams have received first or second.
