Sift together first three ingredients ( flour, baking powder, and salt). Set aside. Mix the butter and sugar in large bowl of electric stand mixer and beat until light color. Add egg and milk and beat until mixed in. On low speed, mix in add flour, and beat until the mixture pulls away from the side of the bowl. Refrigerate dough for about two hours, wrapped in waxed paper (divide in half for quicker cooling). Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Sprinkle the surface to roll dough on with powdered sugar. Roll out only 1 wrapped pack of dough at a time, to keep the other one cool. Sprinkle rolling pin with powdered sugar, and roll the dough to 1 / 4-inch thick. Move the dough around and check underneath frequently to make sure it is not sticking. Making sure the dough is still cool while cutting, but If dough gets warm during rolling, place cold cookie sheet on top for 10 minutes to re-chill. Cut into desired shape with cookie cutters and place at least 1-inch apart on greased baking sheet, parchment, or silicone baking mat, and bake for 7 to 9 minutes or until cookies are just beginning to turn brown around the edges. Rotate the cookie sheet halfway through baking time. Let sit on baking sheet for 2 minutes after removal from oven and then move to complete cooling on wire rack. Serve as is or frost with icing as desired. Can store in airtight container for up to 1 week. A favorite for the entire family! Monday Morning Ladies Bowling enjoys dinner An excellent dinner was catered by Denise's Home Plate. It was enjoyed by all. Also during the year the ladies built up "kitty funds" to be used for various ideas. This year money was donated to a local "Woman's Funeral" who died in a tragic accident and the "Quarters for Christmas" shoe fund! Thanks to all for your support!
