Show Wanship tl Ruth Maxwell was hostess at a very exciting and happy get together held at her home Friday afternoon. She looked forward in seeing her two lady friends, Ada Morris and Pearl Turner who served in the New England mission when she was serving there also. Edith Wright, Margaret Glissmeyer ami Lillian Walters were also present to enjoy each others company. Ruth and her five friends were all employed hy the Utah Woolen Mills before they were married and have kept in close touch with each other. Ruths sister, Ella Boyer, joined in with the other ladies to partake of a very delicious pot luck dinner. They reminisced about their working days at the mill and about their families. Many pictures were taken of the happy group. They traveled to Francis visit with Mrs. Mildred Gibbons for awhile. She was very delighted to see them and a most jolly and rejoicing time was enjoyed by the ladies. co After their visit in Francis they crossed the river to spend some time with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gibbons, of Wanship. The Gibbons are always happy to have company. A very gay and merry time was experienced by all. The afternoon was so cheering and satisfying for the seven good friends. They want to do the same thing more often, as they receive so much happiness from being together. Mrs. Fay Bates and daughter, Charlotte attended the Rocky Mountain States Roller Skating Championships at the Wamoco RollerRink in Greeley, Colorado last week. Participating and one of the top performers was Janey Chilton, Mrs. Bates niece. Janey placed first in her group with her free style performance and she and her partner, Robert Reed placed second in the dance entry. These performers were representing the Rustic Rink at Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. Layton Wilde, Mae Bates and Charlotte drove to Provo last Friday evening to enjoy a performance of Fiddler ;i 'On The Roof presented by the ' Brigham Young Universitv. Mr. Fay Bates flew with his son, David to Great Falls, Montana last Thursday for an overnight stay. While in Great Falls they visited the famous museum housing the works of Western artist, Charles Russel. Mr. Russel was a friend of kings, statesmen and Will Rogers. He lived among the Indians for a time; which association result- ed in beautiful, authentic lifelike paintings. Mrf Bates brought several prints home with him. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Dorritty and family, Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Buckley and family, West Jordan; Mr. Leonard Buckley of San Francisco, and Mrs. Rose Hansen of Salt Lake stopped at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Sahleen Saturday-evenin- g on their way home from a day of visiting and relaxing in Kamas. Roland, Marla andMarieSah-lee- n drove to West Jordan to visit with the Jack Buckleys and Leonard Buckleys on Suna day afternoon. They enjoyed most appetizing dinner together. The Sahleens then visited their sons. Roger V. Smith To Get Diploma Senior Citizens Injoy Great Day Roger V. Smith, son of Mr. Virgil Gibbons, CoalviUe, will receive a graduation diploma at the 65th annual commencement exercises of Stevens Henager College on Friday, June 16, 1972. with Trip to Salt Lake, Salt Palace Fifty senior citizens met June 8 at the Town Park, where they enjoyed a delightful day playing bingo and Mr. Smith is one of 192 graduates from the Salt Lake City and Ogden colleges of Stevens The weatherman interfered with the outdoor games.
