Show Couple Holds Golden Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Sharpies, Shar-pies, 2333 East 3225 South, parents par-ents of 12 living sons and daughters, Wednesday celebrated celebrat-ed their golden wedding anniversary anni-versary with a family dinner at their home. They both are native Salt Lakers and were married Nov. 9, 1899, in the Salt Lake Temple, Tem-ple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is the former Mary L. Graves. Farmer Mr. Sharpies works as a farmer at the city's Mountain dell farm in Parley's Canyon. The Sharpies are members of the LDS Church and find time between visiting their children and grandchildren to perform church work. Their sons and daughters are J. B., Elmer, Ralph A., Lloyd and Fred C. Sharpies, Salt Lake City; Mrs. W. H. Odd, Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. E. H. Allington and Mrs. Jack Downs, Ogden; Mrs. Milton Hobbs, Glendora, Calif.; Mrs. W. R. Knudsen, Mrs. Jack Wells and Mrs. T. K. Miller, Salt Lake City. They also have 31 grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. |
