Show Community Mourns Death Of EMC Leader The entire southeast community com-munity was grieved this week to learn of the passing of F. Le-Roy Le-Roy Anderson, prominent East Mill Creek resident and civic leader. Mr. Anderson, 48. resided re-sided at 170S East 3015 South St. He died Sunday after a long illness. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Thursday a -5 p.m. in Grandview Ward chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2930 "Twentieth East St. Burial was in Salt. Lake City Cemetery. Mr. Anderson was cashier for Salt Lake Division, Utah Oil Refining Company, where he had been employed for 18 years. In 1947 he was president of East Mill Creek Lions' Club. A son of Richard F. and Olga Schou Anderson, he was born May 9, 1901, in Ogden. He had served on East Mill Creek Mel-" chizedek Priesthood Committee and as a member of Grandview Ward choir. He was a graduate of the old LDS College. Mr. Anderson was married to Lucille Avery in Salt Lake City in 1921. Survivors, besides his widow, include four sons, Gordon, Kenneth, Ken-neth, Boyd, and Morris Anderson, Ander-son, Salt Lake City; four brothers, broth-ers, Francis, Harry, Girant and George Anderson, Los; Angeles; five sisters, Mrs. Lavon Hen-nessy, Hen-nessy, Los Angeles; Mrs. Florence Flor-ence St. John, Sunnyside; Mrs. Ruby Ensign, Santa Barbara; Mrs. Martha Knouf, San Francisco, Fran-cisco, and Mrs. June Scott, Long Beach, Calif., and two grandchildren. |
