Show FrGRess Sedzrser HsKored on 80 tii Birthday New Year's day has a special significance for a well known southcasterner, Francis Selzner, 1S87 South 10th, for it is his natal day. On Sunday he welcomed wel-comed in the new year by celebrating cele-brating his 80th birthday. Mrs. Hugo B. Anderson, 1640 Yale Ave., a daughter of Mr. Salzner, entertained at an informal infor-mal family party and buffet supper sup-per in honor of her father. Always active in L. D. S. Church work, he has been president pres-ident of the Swiss German mission, mis-sion, and was a member of the Granite Stake High Council for 1G years. He came to America at the age of 12 with his parents. Most of his life he has been engaged in the construction business. Seven Daughters Mr. Salzner has seven daughters; daugh-ters; Mrs. C. S. Amussen, Logan; Mrs. James E. Sullivan, Ogden; Mrs. Don M. Corbett, Indianapolis, Indianap-olis, lnd.; Mrs. Hugo B. Anderson, Ander-son, Mrs. H. G. Shepherd, Mrs. William C. Dean, and Mrs. William Wil-liam A. Higginbotham of Salt Lake. He has 19 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. |
