Franklin O. Holt and wife left their home in Gunlock on the morning of the above date bringing their sick child to be attended by the Doctor. After visiting the physician, they put up at George T. Cottam's and as the child was not thought to be dangerously ill, most of the family went to a meeting. After they got home from meeting, the child asked its mother to take it to the water barrel and give it a drink, which she did. She returned into the house and in two minutes after, the child expired. After the first bursts of sorrow had ceased, friends began the last work that was needed for the little one, and at 5 o'clock the "We have received from Mrs. IdiaD.""Atder, a copy of the"poern entitled, "Mormon Tabernacle choir in California," -.written by herself. The people are to collect in front of the Tabernacle Taber-nacle and march to the Sugar loaf, north of this city, where they will have speeches, music, singing, &c, one of the songs being ''Hard times come again no more," which we heartily endorse, as the times just now are the hardest we ever wish tosee, and hope they will soon become be-come better.
