'Ten people out of a dozen are Invalids," In-valids," says a recent medical authority. author-ity. At least eight out of these ten, it is safe to allow, are suffering from some form of blood-disease which a persistent use of Ayer's Sarsaparilla would be sure to cure. Then, don't be an invalid. Billy Ridd, of the R. G. W., and Alex Mitchell, of the C, M. & St. P., were visitors to the Independent sanctum on Friday. The boys were en route to the new gold fields. Billy went to see if the R. G. W. would better build to the new Helcls, and Alex went to get a big hold on the New Eldorado. Mrs. Eliza Harwood was the victim of petty larceny last Monday afternoon. after-noon. A I'Olll- pany of five representative men of this city have issued a notice of appropriation appro-priation of use of water of Pleasant Creek in Pleasant Creek canon for furnishing power for manufacturing, lighting, milling and other purposes, the water to be reverted to said stream undiminisned. In an interview with sonic of the inembeH of the company it is learned that it is the intent and purpose of the association to erect a large electric plant at the mouth of the canyon, to be suplied with water power from Pleasant creek. From this plant it is expected to furnish electricity for lighting and foi machinery power and will supply Mt. Pleasant, Moroni and Fairvlew cities. That it. is a great and important un dertaking can be seen at a glance, and that it will give a great impetus to possible manufacturing establishments establish-ments is unquestioned. It is really the greatest enterprise ever undertaken under-taken in Sanpete county, and will involve, in-volve, one way and another, hundreds of thousands of dollars. The proposi tion is a shrewd one and there is no doubt of it being a safe investment. It has long been conceded that Mt. Pleasant offers some splended aclvan-. tages for manufactories, and now with a ready and cheap power at command, it should not be long until other capi tal will be taking hold of manufacturing manufactur-ing enterprises. It would naturally seem to be the beglning of a revolu tion in our industrial affairs, and it is to be hoped there will be no hitch or delay in inaugurating the new under taking.
