Show Bright's Disease The largest sum ever paid for a prescription; changed bands in San Francisco, Aug. 30, 1901. Tbe transfer involved in coin and stock $1 12,500.00 and was Daid by a party of business Ynen for a specific for Bright's Disease and Diabetes, hitherto incurable diseases. They commenced the serious investigation in-vestigation of the specific Nov. 15, 1900. Tbey interviewed scores of the cured and tried it out on its merits by putting over three dozen cases on the treatment and- watching them. They also got physicians to name .chronic, incurable cases, and administered ad-ministered it with the physicians for judges. Up to Aug. 25, eighty-seven per cent of tbe test cases were either well or progressing favorably. There being but thirteen per cent of failures, the parties were satisfied and closed the transaction. The proceedings of the investigating com-mittee com-mittee and the clinical reports of the te:;t cases were puoiished and will be mailed free on application. Address John- J. Two of our ancient and honorable citizens dreamed many years ago that a railroad would come down Hobble Creek canyon, and one of our citizens not so ancient but as honorable, saw in an openjvision the. cars running down the canyon. It now has full authority to come. From present pres-ent appearances there is a strong propability of such a railroad, as the newly proposed road fron Denver will certainly cut close. The roller mill on Spring creek was destroyed by lire, in the early hours of May 1st, nothing left standing stand-ing except the walls. How the fire originated is not known, There had been a tire in the office stove the previous pre-vious afternoon which was dead by 4 p. m. There was no litter or rubbish rub-bish around whereby a tire could have been started by a spark or smouldering smoulder-ing ember, so far as known. There were about 250 bushels of wheat stored in the mill. Fred Houtz, lessee, les-see, had $500 insurance on his private property in the mill. Last Friday as S.D. Johnson of Mapleton and his son Heber were driving to tawn in a buggy, and as they were rolling merrily along down the hill, from the Evergreen cemetery not expecting any disturbance, when suddenly, crash! a sudden shock from behind and down came a hind wheel, with every spoke flying, On recovering recover-ing themselves, they saw a boy and horse floundering in th,e road. When the frightened lad had recovered himself, him-self, he explained that he had been unable to hold tbe horse that he was riding, and that it had run into the vehicle without his being able to restrain re-strain it. The rider of the horse was a son of Jos. W.Allan.
