For the past several days Utah sugar stock has been causing caus-ing quite a flurry among our quiet citizens, and has developed quite a crop of would-be brokers. A grett deal of sugar stock is held in Lehi by a large tiumber of citizens. The pre sent stockholders are privileged to i double their holdings at par of the new issue of slock. Many of the stockholders were not aware that this privilege was of any value till some of the shrewder ones began offerings') cents per share for the right to subscribe sub-scribe to the new issue, and as its value became known it soon rose to$l per share simply for the privilege of subscribing for the new issue. One young man is reported to have raked in some $200 by obtaining relinquishments relinquish-ments from stockholders less wise. The condition of the sugar company and the promising condition of this season's crop amply justifies the high quotations of Utah sugar securities.
