Show Thursday, September 20, 2007 SPRINGVILLE HERALD 11 Mountain View Hospital breaks ground for new medical office building Mountain View Hos- pital is growing and expanding ex-panding to better meet the community's healthcare needs. The hospital broke ground on a new medical office building to be named Mountain View Medical Medi-cal Plaza. The anticipated completion date is in the fall of 2008. "We have one of the best hospitals in Utah and some of the most competent physicians available anywhere," any-where," said Stephen Rees, M.D. and chairman of the board for Mountain View Hospital. "This new medical medi-cal building will increase the community's access to high-quality and compassionate compas-sionate patient care." The new Mountain View Medical Plaza will be home to several physician offices, offic-es, including: Utah County Surgical Associates, Canyon Can-yon View Medical Group, Utah Valley Pediatrics, Central Utah Clinic Urologists Urolo-gists and Orthopedics, Utah County Medical Associates As-sociates and Physical and Sports Therapy Services. "It is a privilege to be a part of the growth that is taking place in our community," com-munity," said Kevin Johnson John-son CEO for Mountain View Hospital, "We are excited about the additions and enhancements that we have planned over the next few years. These enhancements enhance-ments will enable us to add physicians to our excellent medical staff and allow us to continue to provide the excellent health care services ser-vices to the communities we serve." The 4-level, 51,000 square foot structure will be located locat-ed in the south west corner of the hospital campus with the front of the medical office of-fice building facing north. Also on the list in the renovation of a dedicated Women's Center with a separate entrance into the hospital. The project will provide women with a center for prenatal care and women's health education, educa-tion, an expansion of the nursery, and renovation of labor, delivery and recovery recov-ery rooms. Services such as Ultrasonography, Mammography, Mam-mography, Densitometry (bone density scan) will be included in the Women's Center. Recent acquisitions of advanced technologies include: in-clude: MRI, Nuclear medicine medi-cine camera, New digital x-ray rooms, PACS system (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems), Infant Abduction Security System and Digital Mammography Mam-mography with Computer Aided Detection (Fall 07) Located in Payson, Mountain View Hospital Hospi-tal is a 130-bed acute care center that treats approximately approxi-mately 550 patients per month. In addition to acute services, the hospital offers of-fers a dedicated orthopedic center and a full range of women's services.
