Mr. Wirthlin, a former employee of Decision-Making-Information, a company engaged in poll taking in Washington, D.C., spoke of the many polls taken throughout the nation by professional poll takers. He noted how the polls taken during the presidential election campaign reflected the outcome of the election of President Ronald Reagan. He said his company supplied cabinet members and Congress with national feelings and opinions, thereby enabling them to understand what the nation desires and how they would like the administration to handle vital subjects that affect people's lives.
