Show SPRINGVILLE i JUNIOR FIVE TAKES LEAD Junior class basketeers forged to the front in early games of the class series at Springville high school, and if the third-year men are able to take the measure of the seniors in their final game, they will have the championship with an undefeated record. The juniors trounced the freshmen, fresh-men, 33 to 3, in the opening tussle, tus-sle, while thu sophomores defeated the seniors, 23 to 15. The seniors then chalked up an 18-3 victory over the lowly freshmen, while the juniors jun-iors won a 25-19 thriller from the sophomores. In case the seniors should defeat the juniors, a triple tie of juniors, seniors and sophomores would result. re-sult. Springville hoop fans are intensely in-tensely interested in the game with Jordan on December 7. The Beet-diggers Beet-diggers always have a strong cage crew, and an interesting battle seems certain. The starting time for the game is 7:30 o'clock, and the battle will be staged in the Springville high gymnasium. The game is a benefit affair for Rex Packard and Ted Anthon, both of whom suffered broken arms during dur-ing the football season. |
