Show Republicans of I Springville Elect Pursuant to a call of Precinct Chairman Dr. John R. Anderson, n Republican primary was held at the Springville city hall Saturday evening, August 9. Six delegates and three alternates were elected to atend the judicial convention to he held at Provo, August 18, and six delegates and three alternates were elected to attend the Republican state and congressional conventions to be held in Salt Lake City, August 20. Delegates to the judicial convention conven-tion are being sent instructed to vote for Judge Elias Hanson, and the delegates to the state convention are sent instructed to vote for Governor Gov-ernor Charles R. Mahey. The primary was largely attended and the resolution for an instructed delegation was unanimous. The delegates elected are as follows: fol-lows: Judicial convention Mark Cook, M. R. Straw, Wm. Whitney, Thomas Latimer, Nephi Strnw and Burt Sumsion ; alternates, Mrs. Mary J. Finley, Mrs. Jennie Starr and Mrs. Eliza Thorn. State and congressional convention Dr. John K. Anderson, Frank Celventrn, M. O. Packard, Mont Johnson, J. F. Ilringhurst and D. A. Crandall; alternates, al-ternates, John S. Groesbeck, Don C. Johnson, D. P. Brinton. Frank Celventra was actinc chairman and John S. Groesbeck noting secretary of the primary. |
