Now making their home in Washington, D. C.) are newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Warner Klemm, who were married recently in the Salt Lake Temple. Mrs. Klemm is the former Valena Jones s daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Virl Jones of Springville and Mr. Klemm's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Walter O. Klemm of Salt Lake City. The same evening of their marriage mar-riage the couple were guests of honor at a wedding reception in the Third-Ninth ward church and later they enjoyed a honeymoon trip through the canyons of Southern South-ern Utah. - For the reception, Valena choose an exquisite model of pure silk made by her sister Elaine and fashioned with a lace yoke and sleeves tapering to points over the wrists. The bouffant skirt was adorned with lace panel inserts. Her mother fashioned the pretty sweet-heart tiers of lace which held her veil of lace-edged illusion in place. A lavender-throated white orchid surrounded with white carnations car-nations formed her bridal bouquet. Her attendants, Mrs. Clifford Jones, Margaret Klemm, Mrs. Carl Hawkins- of Washington, D. C, Mrs. Ronnie Burnham and Norma Metcalf, were all in sister I I frocks of white nylon ballerina ' length. They carried nosegays of pink and white .blossoms. Petite nieces of the bride, Carma and Colleen Jones were flower girjs. Walter G. Klemm, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Receptionists were Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Reid and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Baker. Mrs. Carl Klemm attended at-tended the guest registry. Reed Jones was usher. In the gift room were Mrs. Walter Klemm, Mrs. Barbara Francis, Ercel Clark, Mrs. Eldean Weight and Margaret Anderson. Gift bearers were Kent Alder, Gearldine and Christine Klemm. i Mrs. Clarence Jensen was the hostess and in charge of the serving serv-ing were Joycelene Ralph, Cherie Alger, Norma Metcalf, Mrs. Robert Ro-bert A. Snyder, Noreen Richins and LaRue Hinckley. After the reception, the bride and groom adjourned to the' serving serv-ing room and cut their wedding cake and served it and during the time, musical numbers and toasts were given the bride and groom. Valena has taught school in Tooele, Spanish Fork Junior High and Salem and in Salt Lake City since her graduation from the Brigham Young University. She has also filled an LDS mission in California and at the time of her marriage was a stake missionary. Her husband graduated from George Washington University at Washington, D.C, and has filled an LDS mission in Texas-Louisiana. He is presently on the staff of the Evening Star, newspaper in Washington, D.C. |
