Mr. and Mrs. Harley Whiting Whit-ing of Blackfoot, Idaho are visiting vi-siting at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Whiting. They are on their way to a vacation trip in Arizona. Several Mapleton families motored to Bountiful Friday evening to attend the wedding reception of Linda Dibble and Daniel Covington. Linda is the daughter of the late Eldon (Ted) Dibble and Mrs. Dorothy Nott (Dorothy Slater). Relatives Rela-tives who attended the wedding wed-ding were Mrs. Zina Dibble, Mr. and Mrs. . Fay Dibble and family, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Dibble, Mrs. Mabel Warren and family and Mr. and Mrs. Burton Bur-ton Warren and their family. Members of Camp Mapleton DUP were entertained at the home of Mrs. Nellie Wiscombe Thursday afternoon where the history of her grandfather Blanchard was given by Mrs. Martha Whitinsr. The lesson on Seventeen members of Camp Union DUP met at the home of Erma Hjorth January 14 for their monthly meeting. Mrs. Iris Roundy gave the lesson and a tasty luncheon was served ser-ved by the hostess assisted by Gladys Johnson and Doris Row-berry. "The Diary and Journal of Thomas Briggs was given by Mrs. Eva Bird. Musical selections selec-tions were played by Mrs. Norma Nor-ma Cox. A delicious luncheon was served to fourteen members mem-bers by the hostess assisted by Martha Whiting and Zina Dibble. Dib-ble. An informative and social evening was enjoyed by the Mapleton Lions and their partners part-ners last Thursday evening in the attractive recreation room at Hugh Hjorth's home. A panel pan-el discussion was given by four patients of the Utah State Hospital who told their life's history and of the different phases of hospital life and its methods of cure. Four methods of cure are used at the hospital, hospi-tal, the industrial therapy, group, drug and shock treatment. treat-ment. Three Lion members from the Orem Club were special guests.
