Show Jaycees Set DSA Banquet On Wed., Jan. 19 Meeting Last Evening Featured Pictures Shown By Roy Despain Jayces today set the date of their annual Distinguished Service Award banquet on Wednesday evening, eve-ning, January 19, according to President Robert Parker. Arangements are being made to entertain approximately fifty couples at the banquet, which wili be held at Chicken Roost beginning begin-ning at 8 o'clock. In the meantime, a competent group of judges are going over qualifications of eligible young men in Springville to determine to whom the award will go this year. To date six men have received the coveted award, and each year the selection is kept a secret until time of presentation. The selection of the man who has the most outstanding out-standing record of the year, attracts at-tracts considerable interest among Junior Chamber members, as well as the entire community. The DSA last year went to Glen Turner, former art instructor at the Springville high school, and winners the five previous years include: in-clude: A. H. Mortensen, Paul Hay-mond, Hay-mond, Verl Whiting, Grant Thorn and Harrison Conover. The Junior Chamber meeting last evening featured Roy Despain with his very interesting moving pictures on his recent river trips, together with many other outdoor pictures.
