Cameron or this city, became the bride of Ted J. Martindale, Mar-tindale, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. FI. Martindale. in a church ceremony on Thursday eve-, ning, March 27, performed by Bishop J. Austin Cope of the Spanish Span-ish Fork Third ward. Witnessing the marriage was approximately seventy-five relatives rela-tives and friends, all of whom were entertained after the ceremony at an informal reception in the Fourth ward hall. The bride was eharming in a gorgeous white frosted organdy in ! MRS. FLORENCE ALLAN ENTERTAINS HER CLUB At the home of Mrs. Florence Allan last Wednesday evening, the members of Jeune Mere club were entertained. Mrs. Fay Haymond, president, conducted, and announced the district dis-trict federal convention to be held in Orem Saturday. She then in- brocade aesign, iasnionea wun a. , low neckline and short sleeves. She wore long lace gloves and her lace-edged veil of fingertip length was arranged to a Queen Mary of Scotland crown. She carried a single orchid tied with white satin sat-in ribbon, and wore a gold locket i belonging to her grandmother. j She was attended by Mrs. Lowell Low-ell Henrie, sister, as matron of honor, with Mrs. Elliott Cameron and Mrs. Dennis Robertson as bridesmaids. Russell Blackett was best man. The program for the reception included vocal numbers by Don Humphrey, accompanied by Robert Rob-ert Thorn; vocal solos, Mrs. Orval Clark, accompanied by Mrs. Mc Kell; a vocal trio by Mrs. Allan Stewart, Mrs. Robert Christian and Miss Evelyn Reed; vocal solos by Mrs. Dennis Robertson, accompanied accom-panied by Mary Elizabeth AllemaiL. Miss Lois Hansen gave a reading and the Beta Sigma Phi chapter, with which Mrs. Martindale is affiliated, af-filiated, sang their "Sweetheart song. Robert Thorn played the wedding march. A gorgeously decorated wedding cake was cut by the bride and groom. Later, refreshments were served by the Misses Mary Jane Martindale, Florice Hjorth, and Geraldine York. Mrs. Schwartz centered cen-tered her discussion on the three famous Russian rulers, Ivan the Terrible, Peter the Great, and Catherine the Great. Mrs. LaRee Warren had arrangements ar-rangements for the evening in charge and she presented Mrs. Schwartz with a lovely token of appreciation for her paper which was enjoyed by all. Luncheon was served by the hostess early in the evening to sixteen six-teen club members. IhOME CULTURE CLUB ENJOYS VISIT TO ART SHOW i The regular meeting of the Home Culture club was held last Friday afternoon at the Art Build- j ing, and was in the form of a tour ; of the art galleries. Glen Turner of the Art Committee Commit-tee gave an interesting talk 'on the ipictures in the exhibit and, preceding pre-ceding the tour, refreshments were served. During themeeting, Mrs. C. E. Eggertsen and Mrs. Jack Perham were named alternates to the district dis-trict convention at Orem. The new officers are delegates. Also, Mrs. Arthur Rich was welcomed as a new member into the club. The meeting was under direction of Mrs. Harrison Conover, club president. |
