Show Young Couple United in Marriage At Manti Temple Friday Afternoon 2i s. y Mr. and Mrs. Wodrow Weight, nee Lucille Miller, received congra-tulations congra-tulations and best wishes from members of their families Saturday night at a wedding party held at the Weight home. The young couple were married Friday, June 13, in the Manti temple, tem-ple, with President Richard Young officiating. The bride was attired in a beautiful beau-tiful model of white chiffon over satin and wore a corsage of pink rosebuds. A diversified program, interspersed inter-spersed with impromptu numbers, comprised the entertainment for the evening, and luncheon was served to the guests early in the evening. Centerpiece was a beautiful beauti-ful tiered wedding cake artistically decorated and topped with a minia- v j ture bride and groom. Flowers in profusion decorated the entertain-jing entertain-jing rooms. Many beautiful and useful gifts were received. Other parties honoring honor-ing the newlyweds are planned for the near future. The young couple are making their home in Spring"ville. Elder George F. Richards of the Council of the Twelve, and Mrs. Richards, spent Saturday and Sunday Sun-day visiting at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Richards. Blaine Thorpe, representative in this vicinity for the Bankers Life Insurance company, is attending a convention of that company this 'week in Chicago. THE LEGION AUXILIARY ELECTED OFFICERS at a meeting held Wednesday evening, eve-ning, followed by a social. Marjorie Frandsen was elected president; Thelma Clark, first vice-president; vice-president; Blanche Beal, treasurer; president; Olive Miller, second vice-Lela vice-Lela Nelson, historian; Delia Angus, An-gus, chaplain. President Ada Barron had the program in charge. Russell Groes-beck Groes-beck entertained with clarinet solos, accompanied by Mrs. Julia Sumsion, and several business reports re-ports were made. Mrs. Inez Chader told of the recent re-cent organization of a junior auxiliary auxil-iary unit composed at present of about 21 members. Mrs. Cleonda Miner reported on the poppy day sales. At the close of the meeting, cards were enjoyed, with high score prize for the games awarded to Mrs. Vivian Johnson. Luncheon was served by Mrs. Grace McKenzie, Mrs. Minnie Groesbeck, and Mrs. Julia Sumsion. Sum-sion. ' |
