A supper at the Collier home after the wedding rites honored the young couple who are now making their home in Provo where both will enroll at the BYU. Parents of the bride, Bishop and Mrs. Edward Boyer, were host and hostess at a wedding reception for their daughter and new son-in-law, Friday evening in the Second-Eighth Second-Eighth ward church. For the reception, the bride wore a wedding gown designed and made by herself of Chantilly lace and tulle underscored with satin. A wide insert of the lace in the floor-length skirt matched the lace in the peplum. The molded bodice was accented by a rounded neckline neck-line with lace flower trim and long sleeves tapering to lily points at the wrist. A crown of lace, also designed by the bride, with sequin trim, released re-leased a sheer shoulder-length veil. Her bouquet was of pastel-colored mums to set the autumn theme for the bridal party. Bridesmaids Vera Wilmott, Mar-gene Mar-gene Rawle, Opal Tyron and Elva Nebeker were attired in yellow embossed taffetta with full skirts,, waltz length and carried bouquets of talisman roses and carnations. Parents of the bride and groom also assisted in receiving guests. The mothers corsages were orchids. or-chids. Little Valerie Boyer was flower girl and best man duties were performed by Douglas Collier, brother of the groom. Greeting guests at the door were President and Mrs. Leo Crandall. Ushers were Clair Brown and Glen Calhoon. Mell Duke was toastmaster at a delightful program entertaining the guests. Mary Collier rendered a piano selection; Boyer Jarvis gave poetry and Alice Holmes vocal vo-cal numbers. In charge of refreshments were Sella Wilmott, Karen Peterson, Naomi Boyer, Joyce Hatfield, Mary Ann Duke and Karen Ottesen, La-Mar La-Mar and Elise Evans, assisted by Ann Johnson, Mildred Graham, Hazel Ha-zel Harrison, Judy Hutchings, Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Collier, nee Rae Ann Boyer. Eloise Blanchard, Marilyn Morten-sen, Morten-sen, Karen Johnson and Mrs. Bonnie Bon-nie Hutchings. In the gift room were Valeene Giles Harriet Whiting and Dave Collier. Gift bearers were little Mary and Mark Collier, Josephine, Leta and Kern Boyer, brothers and sisters of the bride and groom. For their honeymoon to the canyons can-yons in Southern Utah, the bride choose a rose linen suit with ava-cado ava-cado green accessories. |
