Ushers during the evening were Clark Hansen, Stanley Giles, Paul Crandall and Bill Wimmer. Karen Ottesen played musical selections before the ceremony and rendered the wedding march while the bridal bri-dal party walked down the isle. At the door during the reception were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Thorpe and Mr. and Mrs. J. Milton Giles. Pat Taylor and Marilyn Ollerton were at the guest book. Grandmothers Grand-mothers of the newlyweds, Mrs. Edith Wimmer, Mrs. Ellen Crandall Cran-dall and Mrs. Mary B. Mellor were special guests. Presiding over the dining area was Mrs. Alice Davis while Shirley Shir-ley Murray, Karen Peterson, Evelyn Eve-lyn Smith, Sharon Lee Althouse, Gayle Ferguson, Patsy Bleggi and Marlene Wright served. Assisting in the gift room were j Mrs. Mays ' Anderson, Mrs. Reed Holdaway, Mrs. Gene Palfreyman, Mrs. Wm. Straw, Mrs. Charles Straw, Mrs. Eldon Childs, Rada Miner, Mrs. E. W. Rhodes, Mrs. Dave Cook and Mrs. P. D. Larsen. Peggy Rhodes, Mary Rhodes, Car-ma Car-ma Giles and Pat Giles were gift bearers. The program during the reception recep-tion consisted of musical numbers by Karen Thompson; vocal solos, Mr. and Mrs. Kay Weight, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Merle Sargent and numbers by a string ensemble, composed of Mrs. Mary Bird, Jffrs. I . 1 - ! i V Mr. and Mrs. Leland Crandall, nee Geniel Wimmer. j Springville Couple Exchange Vows In Impressive Church Wedding In an impressive candlelight ceremony at the Third-Ninth ward church on Thursday September 1, pretty Miss Geniel Wimmer, daughter of Mr. and flower girls in pink and periwinkle peri-winkle blue taffetta dresses with baskets of pink and white carnations carna-tions and ribbons to match their dresses. Others in the receiving line were parents of the bride and groom. Mrs. Thorpe chose a biege dress with avacado green accessories acces-sories for the reception and Mrs. Mrs. Howard Thorpe and the late$ W. Worth Wimmer, exchanged marriage vows with Leland Crandall, Cran-dall, son of Mr. .and Mrs. Gregg Crandall also of Springville. The double-ring ceremony .was performed by Bishop Edgar S. Best of the Seventh ward and was i preceded by a- prayer given by i Mays Anderson. Immediate family I members and close friends of the 1 couple were in attendance. ' Later in the "evening, the young couple was honored with a recep- t tion at the church attended by a large crowd of relatives from Springville and other cities throughout the state. I The bride's dress was a lovely creation designed and made by herself of white lace over slipper satin with long pointed sleeves 1 and princess style bodice trimmed , with tiny buttons. The full skirt was floor length. Her veil of silk ' illusion was attached to a tiera j of seed-pearls. A lovely gold brace- j let, a 55-year family heirloom, a gift from the bride's grandmother Wimmer, enhanced her wedding attire. She carried a bridal bouquet bou-quet of pink rose-buds with white satin streamers knotted with the tiny pink flowers. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Karen Kier of Comp-ton, Comp-ton, Calif. She wore deep purple, while the bridesmaids, Maris Thorn, Marilyn Ames, Marilyn Frost, Shelia Averett and Joan Buchanan, a cousin of Centerf ield wore taffetta gowns in colors ranging from deep purple to a light lavendar. Each carried a colonial col-onial bouquet of pink and white feathered carnations with streamers stream-ers to correspond with their dresses. dress-es. Best man was Clark Davis and the ring bearer was Johnny Jacob-sen. Jacob-sen.
