Show Sunday Evening Home Rites Unite Mrs. Helen E. Thorpe-Fred E. DeLude Mrs. Helen E. Thorpe become the bride of Fred E. DeLude in a double ring ceremony Sunday at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Eggertsen. Rev. Irwin of the Provo Community church officiated with members of the family and close friends in attendance. Attending the bride was her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. James Simmons and Hal Eggertsen of Salt Lake City was best man. In charge of refreshments refresh-ments were Miss Jill Eggertsen of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Mrs. Barybelle Eggertsen of Salt Lake City. Don Thorpe, son of the bride, acted as usher. The bride's wedding attire consisted con-sisted of an Ellen Kay model of irridenscemt blue accented by a white orchid corsage. A former BYU student, the new Mrs. DeLude affiliated with the Val Norn Social unit and has been active in social, literary and music circles in Springville and Provo for a number of years. At the present time she is music director of the St. Mary's Episcopal church, and an employee of the First Security Bank at Provo. Mr. DeLude came to Utah from Worchester, Mass., his home town, where he had been employed by the American Steel and Wire Co., until two years ago when he was transferred to the position of Division Div-ision Metallurgist of the Rolling Mill at the Geneva Steel plant. He graduated as a chemical engineer from the University of New Hampshire Hamp-shire and was affiliated with Alpha Chi Sigma, Delta Epsilon Pi and honorary Delta Chi fraternities. He has also been interested in music, having, among other things served as soloist with the Worcester Wor-cester Light Opera Co., and at the Cathedral of the Madeline at Salt Lake City. His daughter. Anita, and his mother, Mrs. M. DeLude, make their home at Miami, Florida. Imemdiately after the ceremony the newlyweds left for Las Vegas, Nevada, where they will spend a few days before returning to Provo Pro-vo to make their home. |
