Show Hatfield-Beck United in Church 1 Wedding; To Live in California Helen Hatfield joined the long list of summer brides last Thursday when she exchanged wedding-vows wedding-vows with A. Thomas Beck in the Third-Ninth ward church. A. A reception w.ia hold in their honor that evening. Helm is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Hatfield, 624 South 4th Ku.st and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne A. Heck, I'll)!) South 4th East. Following a trip to Las Vegas and Southern Utah the couple will make their home at I'.'AM First struct, Imperial Beach. Calif. For her wedding the bride wore a three-tiered dress of lace over taffeta with pointed sleeves and a standup collar. Orchids and white carnations made up her bouquet. Bishop Uuel Crandall officiated v at the wedding. The room was arranged ar-ranged with a backdrop of baskets of gladiolas, and an arch of carnations car-nations and greenery. Candelabras were used to further enhance the room. Bridal attendants were Miss Mary Hatfield, sister of the bride; Mrs. Ralph Dudley, sister of the gi'oom; Mrs. Gene Thomas, Mrs. Leonard Hurst, and Miss Carol Phillips. Flower girls were Sharon and Karon Dudley and Kathleen Wensal. The bridesmaid wore semi-for-mals of veri-gated colors and car- ried feather fans of pink and blue with detachable corsages. Mrs. Hatfield carried pink and white carnations which contrasted with her dress of navy blue with white polkadots. Mrs. Beck . chose as her attire a rose lace over taffeta dress. Her flowers were also pink and white carnations. Duties of the best man were handled by Jay Stewart. Reception program included: Invocation In-vocation by Bishop Lewis B. Childs; song, G. F. Heaton; piano solo, Boyd Hales; reading, Eli Tip-pits; Tip-pits; toast to the bride by Mrs. Vestha F. Sandberg; toast to the groom by Jay Stewart. Assisting with the serving were Lynda Heaton, Gerry Heaton, Judy Allen, Dianne Jensen, Raida Miner, LaRue Underwood, Joyce Hatfield, and Mary Ann Childs. Helping with the gifts were Mrs. Kenneth C. Wensel, sister of the bride; Mrs. W. D. Anderson, also a sister of the bride; and Mrs. Lela Nielson. For her going away dress the new Mrs. Beck chose a black and white dress. |
