Show Former Residents Son Is Wed; Reception In S. L. One of the season's loveliest wedding receptions was enjoyed by family members and friends of Ro- gene Ann oan, -and Mrs. R. P. Ball of Seattle, Washington, and Richard E Hu-ish, Hu-ish, son of F. E. 'Blackie' and Mary Bird Huish of Berkeley, California, formerly of Springville. The marriage took place in the Salt Lake Temple in double-ring . rites witnessed by immediate family fam-ily members and close friends of the couple. The reception was held at the home of an aunt and uncle, Mr and Mrs. E. A. Parsons on South Ninth East street. Among those attending from Springville were, Mrs. M. W. Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Conover, Miss Carol Blh blond bride was attractively gowned in traditional white satin, Princess style with full tram. Her bride's illusion veil cascaded from a bandeau of satin and seed pearls and her bouquet centered a white orchid surrounded with holy and bouvardia to form a small Christmas Christ-mas tree shape. Each of the attendants, gowned in vari-colored pastels held bouquets bou-quets of like flowers and these were Mrs. Lee, as matron of honor and Lois Conger, Seattle, and Barbara Bar-bara Boyer. Presiding as hostess, Mrs. Ball wore a formal of rose crepe with lace tunic and a corsage of Dutch iris, while Mrs. Huish chose teal ...iv, 0 and stenhanotis. blue with roses and stephanotis. -During the receiving, Sue Nel- , son favored with violin music, Howard Rust with vocal solos and members of the bride's social umt Nautilus, surrounded her to sing their sweetheart song. The guest registry was presided over by Patricia Ward and serving serv-ing dainty wedding refreshments wire Lynn Bates, Dorene Westra, Bonnie Davis and Jackie Hansen. The serving table presented a pretty picture, with red glowing candles, holly sprigs and white carnations. The couple returned to Provo for the close of the quarter -at BYU and during tho holidays will visit in Seattle and in Berkeley, returning to Provo for the winter Quarter. The new bride was also a member mem-ber of the Y Calcares and was re- cently chosen attendants to the Sophomore Loan Fund ball queen. Mr. Huish has been named chair- man of the coming Junm of BYU A pre-medical student at the Y he is also a member of the Blue Key and Bricker social unit. |
