Ln?-'.v 4 V- H .,' ' it ; 7' l; i f 1 Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Anderson, nee Elaine Ashcraft Ashcraft-Anderson Rites Solemnized May 4 In Salt Lake LDS Temple A lovely late spring wedding was tkat of Miss Elaine Ashcraft, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ashcraft and Bernell Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Andeson of Spanish Fork, Utah. The impressive ceremony was performed May 4, in the Salt Lake Temple, with Elder, Charles Jones officiating. Upon leaving the Tempi, e the bride wore a navy blue jsuit with pink accessories. The couple stayed at the Hotel Utah. The couple were honored Friday Fri-day evening, with a reception at the Fourth ward church. Approximately Approxi-mately five-hundred guests enjoyed en-joyed the program and dance. The bridal couple stood before tall, lighted candelabra which were flanked on either side by tall baskets bas-kets of gladiolus, roses and large fringed daisies. The bride chose for her weddins attire a heavy white satin, entrain. The fitted waist had a sweetheart neck with a lace ruffle around the yoke and lace on the long sleeves. The full skirt had several rows of lace ruffles in front with the bottom bot-tom row following out around the edge of the long train. Her lace-edged lace-edged veil was of finger-tip length and was arranged to her head with a seed pearl crown of orange blossoms. blos-soms. She carried a bouquet of pink, fashion roses, centered with an orchid. Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mrs. Sally B. Anderson, Ander-son, while Nelda Ashcraft, Mar-gene Mar-gene Porter and Anna Hill were bridesmaids. Little Marilyn Ashcraft Ash-craft and Jana Lee Whiting were train bearers, and wore pink satin and net formals and carried baskets bas-kets of sweet peas. The other attendants at-tendants wore pastel-colored formals form-als and carried nosegays of double daisies and rose buds. Mothers of the bride and groom wore turquoise and grey formals, respectively. Lynn Anderson, brother of the groom, was best man. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ludlow, Bishop and Mrs. Erwin Sheffield acted as receiving re-ceiving hosts and hostesses. Wilford Manwaring was master of ceremonies and an enjoyable program was given consisting of a vocal duet by Lorin Anderson and Walter Richardson; a reading by Mrs. Jane Tanner, accompanied on the piano by Beth Evans Crandall; Cran-dall; a vocal solo, Elaine Jones; song by Sixth Ward Gleaner Girls Chorus; toast to bride by Mrs. Verda Hunter; toast to groom by Mrs. Maude Ludlow. The refreshment room displayed a beautiful three-tiered wedding cake with tall burning tapers on either side. Mrs. Vanza Mann was in charge of the refreshments, assisted as-sisted by Mrs. Loween Palfreyman, Mrs. Faye Hancock, Mrs. Helen Mendenhall and Mrs. Rose Roylance, Roy-lance, and the Misses ColleenChild, Mary Palfreyman, Verleen Mann and Nolleen Palfreyman. Mrs. Eva Ashcraft was in charge of the gift room assisted by Mrs. Donna Whiting and Mrs. Arlene Antinino. The many beautiful and useful gifts were accepted by Misses Geniel Ashcraft, Geniel Simmons, La Rene Naylor and Afton Gurr. The couple are making their home in Springville at present. |
