Show Lovely Church Reception Honors Newlyweds Mr., Mrs. J. S. Bishop Glen A. Tipton of the Fourth ward performed the double - ring ceremony in the presence of immediate family members and close friends. A reception followed fol-lowed to honor the newlyweds. Parents of the young couple, Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Barton of this city and George T. Duncan Dun-can of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Josephine Duncan; also the groom's brother Bill and other members of the bridal party assisted in receiving guests. I The bride was atttractively gowned in a silk nylon net underscored with taffetta, with tight fitting sculptured lace bodice, long pointed lace sleeves sleev-es and matching front lace panel. The net yoke was trimmed trim-med with sculptured lace cutouts cut-outs studded with tiny pearls and sequins. From a matching lace headpiece with pearl and sequin trim fell a full shoulder-length veil of silk net. She carried a bridal bouquet bou-quet of red rose-buds, white carnations and white satin streamers to set the color theme of red and white carried car-ried out in other details of the wedding. Elaine Barton, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and Sue Ann Hansen, Joanne Duncan, Dun-can, Diane Taylor and Kaaren Cook were bridesmaids. They were attired in red brocaded taffetta sheath gowns and held colonial bouquets of white carnations. car-nations. Little Lisa Davies also in red taffetta with white bouquet, bou-quet, was flower girl. Mrs. Barton chose a deep tan gown for the wedding and Mrs. Duncan , mauve. Their corsages were of roses and Mr. and Mrs. James S. Duncan, now at home in Springville ; following Jan. 16 wedding and reception. 3Irs. Duncan is u the former Carma Barton. ride and groom, accented the color scheme. Music during the evening was played by Orvil Huff at the organ. The couple are making their home in Springville. . The bride . has been enrolled at a beauty school in Provo since graduation from high school. Mr .Duncan has completed his training in the armed forces for-ces spending three years in Europe and is now enrolled at the Brigham Young University. carnations. Mower and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Shipp. In the gift room were Roberta Ro-berta Anderson, Pat Brinker-hoff, Brinker-hoff, Marilyn Carnesecca and Lena Gadd, while the serving was done by Collette Miner, Mary Lu Furr, Barbara Hall, Patsy Warren, Paula Haymond, Hay-mond, Janet Holley and Kathe-ryn Kathe-ryn Groneman. Individual serving tables were centered with miniature wedding cakes topped with white beUs and red roses and a lovely three-tiered wedding cake decorated with clusters of deep red roses and white swans and topped with tiny |
