' I "' , : - i o H 11 1 The annual Red Devil Golf Classic, formerly the SHS Alumni Tournament, will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, at with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Over the years this tournament has been a four-man scramble, and you had to be SHS alumni to play. However, wanting want-ing to keep the tradition alive and grow the tournament, tour-nament, the organizers have decided to make it a four-man, best-ball and invite in-vite everyone to play. "Our hope is to raise money for the SHS Golf Team, and we need your support to do so," said Brett Miller. "Each player will have to take care of their own greens fees and give a $25 donation to the golf team." The $25 will help pay for prizes and the lunch that will be provided after af-ter play. The rest of the money will be used by thhe golf team for things such as tournament fees, golf balls hats, etc.' Please sign your team up by Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Hobble Creek Pro Shop or with one of the coaches listed below so they can make the proper tee times and arrangements arrange-ments for food. If you or your company compa-ny would like to donate to the tournament or the golf team, please contact Miller, 330-0727, or Coach Gavin Groneman, 885-3789. Colton Ramon started the offensive assault by( cashing in on an open seam for a 47-yard touchdown. Wasatch then threatened to strike back until a fake punt was stopped by the sturdy Springville defense! The real fireworks began be-gan in the third quarter though, when the Devils went on an absolute tear, scoring 21 unanswered points to take a 28-0 lead. That drive included a six-yard six-yard touchdown run from sophomore Marcus Case, followed by a fumble recovery re-covery scooped up by Ka-leb Ka-leb Christen for six, and then a ten-yard pass from Allred to Luke Frampton for another six. The offensive line was impenetrable the whole ; Springvillo Mon-Sat6am-11prn Closed Sunday game as Ike had all day to throw and he delivered. But despite the explosive offensive game, the defense de-fense was key in the vic-tory. vic-tory. as it kept Wasatch guessing all day, not allowing al-lowing them to get into any kind of rhythm, and taking the pressure off of our offense. The fan support for the game was incredible and hopefully if you couldn't attend, you will go to the game this Friday when Springville takes on Provo for the homecoming game and the first region game.
