Patrons are using the computers as well as utilizing the Wi-Fi connection. The library also recently installed self check-out machines. Instead of waiting in long lines you can check out your own materials. The system is easy to use and is operated by a touch-screen. Also, did you know that you can go online to search for materials, put them on hold and view your account? Just go to the www.springvillelibrary.org and look under the "My Account" section. You have to enter your library card number and your PIN (the last four digits of your phone number). It is a great way to renew books or to see what you have checked out If you have any trouble using the website, just call the library at 489-2720. Be Ready Utah to host events during the Utah State Fair Be Ready Utah is proud to announce they will be hosting a very large tent at the Utah State Fair from September 4th -8th A full range of agencies, organizations and businesses busi-nesses that promote safety safe-ty and preparedness will be available to the public throughout the day. Utah County team takes first in national world series The Jumbonos Stix, a Utah County 14-year-old baseball team, recently participated in the National Triple Crown World Series in Steamboat, Colorado, where they won the first place title over 29 other teams from all across the country. Each of the 30 teams had to qualify for the world series by competing in a separate qualifying tournament. tourna-ment. The instructor for both of these courses, John Gilbert, has years of teaching experience ex-perience coupled with real world business experience and knowledge. Gilbert said, "Many people peo-ple who start a business may have an idea or a desire, de-sire, but don't know where to go next. Students who have taken these courses have learned to identify technical, marketing, human hu-man resource, and financial resources that help their business grow."
