Anthony Hopkins stars as CONTRACT ON CHERRY STREET Academy Award winner Frank Sinatra stars as a New York City police inspector who sets out to nail the heads of the local underworld in 'Contract on Cherry Street,' a drama to be telecast on 'NBC Saturday Night at the Movies' Nov. 19. Sinatra portrays Inspector Frank Hovannes, a veteran officer nearing retirement. Verna Bloom and Harry Guardinoalso star. Hovannes, who heads up the elite Office of Crime Control, has been encountering difficulty building a case against the operators of a number of rackets, including fencing stolen auto parts. When his close friend and team partner is slain in a shoot-out, Hovannes cannot contain his pent-up frustration.
