Show Services held Saturday for Otto V. Ivie, 65 Funeral services were held Saturday in the Fourth Ward for Otto Verlin Ivie, 65, who died September 11, 1969 at his home from an illness. Bishop John Patrick officiated. Burial was in the Springville Evergreen Ever-green Cemetery. He was born March 7, 1904, in Aurora, a son of Calvert M. and Vilate Durfee Ivie. He married Miona Watts on April 7, 1924, in Aurora. Their marriage mar-riage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Ivie received his education educa-tion in Aurora schools. Following Follow-ing his marriage they resided in Lynndyl until 1948, when they moved to Springville. In 1918, he began working for the Union Pacific Railroad as a car inspector, working in this position posi-tion for 40 years, until his retirement. re-tirement. He was a member of the LDS Church. Mr. Ivie was also a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Carmen. Surviving are his widow of Springville, and one son and one daughter, Mrs. Roy (Donna) (Don-na) Knudsen, P r o v o, and Wayne Ivie, Bountiful; four grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Elvada Johnson, Newhall, California; Mrs. Lucille Nielson, Lynndyl, and Mrs. Arthur (Vir-della) (Vir-della) Corcooran, Kansas City, Kansas. |
