Show Services Held In Salt Lake For Mrs. Wm. Black Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Flor-ence M. Lufkin Barron Black, 94, former resident of Springville, who died Monday in a Salt Lake City hospital of ailments incident inci-dent to age, were conducted Saturday Sat-urday afternoon in Salt Lake City 'where burial was also held. Mrs. Black wa, the widow of W. G. Black and the mother of George L. Barron, a former resident resi-dent of Springville. She lived in Springville for a number of years until shortly after Mr. Black's , death in 1948. I She was born in Salt Lake City March 25, 1855, a daughter of George Washington and Martha Ann Townsend Lufkin. She had resided in Utah throughout her life and had pioneered the cities, of St. George, Millard and Des-eret. Des-eret. She also resided in Logan approximately ap-proximately 20 years. She was married to William A. Barron October 10, 1871, in the Salt Lake Endowment House. Mr. Barron died in 1925 and in August Aug-ust 1927, she was married to Mr. Black. They made their home at Richfield before moving to Springville. Spring-ville. Surviving are Fieven of her eleven elev-en children by her first marriage. They are: William V. and Ash-mer Ash-mer C. Barron, Seattle, Wash.; Franklin H. Barron, Pocatello, Ida.; James C. Barron, Mrs. Martha Mar-tha B. Norton, Salt Lake City; George L. Barron, Mrs. Minerva B. Gillette, Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Jane L. Hailatone, Al-hambra, Al-hambra, Calif.; a brother, George Eastman Lufkin, Shelly Ida., 20 grandchildren; 44 great grand children and two great-greatgrandchildren. |
