Show FUNERAL HELD SUNDAY FOR J. A. PACKARD tr"! . ;Vi; Services were conducted Sunday afternoon in the Third ward chapel cKf for J. A. (Jake) Packard. 81, well i known retired farmer, who died at his home Thursday morning of ji. ailments incident to his age. Bur-"" Bur-"" ial was in the city cemetery, under direction of A. Y. Wheeler and Son Mortuary. Mr. Packard was born in Springville Spring-ville Feb. 26, 1867, a son of Milan and Margaret Jane Haymond Packard. He had lived here all j gj, his life. On February 9, 1899, he married '3 Eliza Robertson of Spanish Fork. She died about 30 years ago. In his early life he worked at railroad construction, later going to work in mines owned by his rr: father near Eureka. For the past 33 several years he had farmed at his home just west of Springville, retiring re-tiring some time ago. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He. is survived by three sons and one daughter: Owen, Grant, and Bliss Packard, all of Springville, Spring-ville, and Mrs. Ida P. Flom, of Price. Another daughter, Mrs. Alice Packard Johnson died 11 j'ears ago. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and the following follow-ing brothers and sisters: N. L. Packard, Richfield; A. O. Packard, Pack-ard, Springville; W. M. Packard and Miss Preal Packard, Salt Lake City. |
