Show Funeral Services Held Monday for 10-Year-OId Victim of Drowning 1944. She was a member of the Seventh ward Bluebird Primary class and a fifth grader at Brook-side Brook-side elementary school. Surviving besides her parents, are four sisters, Mrs. Ronald (Ann) Allan, Mrs. Allen (Mary Lou) Leifson, Linda and Kathy Whiting all of Springville; also her x grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Whiting and Mr. and Mrs, Jesse Salisbury of Springville. Many friends and relatives attended at-tended funeral services Monday afternoon in the Seventh ward chapel for Janet Whiting, 10-year-old daughter of Jesse and Helen Salisbury Whiting, who lost her life while swimming at Park Ro-She Ro-She Friday about noon. The little girl was seen only seconds before she went under the water, with two companions, the others of a group of school mates having left the pool. It was believed be-lieved she was under the water hot more than a minute before he life guard, Leo Conk, brought her out and began giving her artificial arti-ficial respiration.
