Fifteen boys and girls stuck it out throughout the entire three weeks of the contest, piling up the impressive total of 6,210,500 votes and securing both new and renewal re-newal subscriptions to the Springville Spring-ville Herald in almost unbelievable unbeliev-able numbers. All of the contestants who actively act-ively participated throughout the entire contest were rewarded with either valuable prizes or cash bonuses bon-uses for sticking to the job to the end. Frank Holley, third place winner, won the special prize of $10.00 for the final week of the contest for the largest number of new subscriptions turned in during dur-ing the week. All of the boys and girls worked hard and the resulting result-ing new and renewal subscriptions subscrip-tions to the Herald assures advertisers of an advertising media for this area that would be very difficult to equal. Parents Commend Program ... , While the prizes, bonuses and commissions offered in the contest con-test assured all contestants of a valuable reward for their efforts, at the same time there are other considerations to be taken into account. Parents of contestants in many instances indicated their pleasure over the valuable training train-ing provided by the program for teen-age boys and girls. A very high degree of salesmanship was demonstrated during the contest and many lessons learned by those who participated will be of lasting last-ing benefit.
