Show Services held for father of local woman Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Wednesday in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, Provo, for Theodore A. Madsen, 81, Provo businessman, and father of Mrs. Dave (Mary) Friel of this city, who died Sunday at Utah Valley Hospital of a heart attack. Burial was in the Provo City Cemetery. Mr. Madsen was born Sept. 4, 1881, in Ronnebjerg, Denmark, Den-mark, a son of Anders C. and Anna Pederson Madsen. He owned and operated Madsen Dry Cleaning and Tailoring until 1943, when he sold the business to his sons. Surviving are his widow; Maria Nielson, whom he married mar-ried April 6, 1963; and also six sons and five daughters, Mrs. Wells (Anna) Hansgen, Ivan Madsen and Lyman A. Madsen, all of Provo; N. Hal-vor Hal-vor Madsen, serving an LDS Mission in Denmark; Mrs. Ellis El-lis (Betty) ' Tuckett, Santa-quin; Santa-quin; Mrs. Mary Friel, Spring ville; Mrs. Wayne (Olga) Cook, Salt Lake City; John Madsen' and Mrs. Clifford (Agnes) Jenkins, Orem; Grant L. and Leonard Madsen, both of Los Angeles; 41 grandchildren grand-children and 27 great grandchildren. |
