Kindred, life long resident of Springville Funeral rites held Sat. for John ft Kindred ....Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Saturday in the Third Ward, for John R. Kindred, 80, life-long resident of this city, who died unexpectedly of a heart attack ' Wednesday, May 29, at his home, 801 No. Main Street. Bishop Calvin Packard was in charge of the services. Burial Bur-ial was in the City Cemetery, directed by Wheeler Mortuary. Mr. Kindred was born Oct. 18, 1882, in Springville, a son of John R. and Luanna Bird Kindred. He married Mable Mower June 1, 1904, in the Salt Lake LDS emple. Mr. Kindred received his ed- ucation in the Springville schools and resided there throughout his lifetime. For a time he operated a feed store and , worked for many years as a salesman. He was active in civic affairs af-fairs as a member of the Springville Volunteer Fire Department. De-partment. He was a charter member of the Utah State Firemen's Association and received re-ceived his 50-year pin at last year's convention. He was secretary sec-retary of the Utah-Juab Firemen's Fire-men's Association for 22 years. Active in the LDS Church, he was a High Priest and had served as MIA superintendent, Ward clerk, member of the old folks committee, and adult A.aronic priesthood- advisor. He had also filled a stake mission. Surviving are his wife of Springville; a son, Ted R. Kindred, Kin-dred, Tujunga, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Earl (Louise) Fifield, Southgate, Calif.; Mrs. Lavar C. (Beth) Nelson, Twin Falls, Ida.; and Mrs. E. R. (Marie) Webster, Rexburg, Ida;, two brothers and five sisters, Fred Kindred and Mrs. Floyd McPherson, Springville; Bert R. Kindred, Corona, Calif.; Cal-if.; Mrs. Robert Hayes, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ada Mecham, an Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. Geneva Lambson, Grand Junction, Junc-tion, Colo.; and Miss Emeline Kindred, Heber. |
