Show : Funeral rites j held Tues. for Leonard Taylor Funeral services were held in the Tenth ward Tuesday afternoon, af-ternoon, for Leonard J. Taylor, Tay-lor, 70, former Springville city electrician and member of the Fire department for a number of years, who died unexpectedly unexpected-ly Saturday morning at his home 845 East Center St., of a heart attack. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery directed by Wheeler Mortuary. Mr. Taylor was born Dec. 15, 1889, in Springville, a son of Jabez and Mary Ruth Taylor. Tay-lor. He was educated in the public schools of Springville. He married Zella Cramer on March 19, 1913, in Springville. The marriage was later solem-nized solem-nized in the Salt Lake LDS ''Temple. In his early life he worked as a miner at Castle Gate. Later La-ter he was employed by the Springville City Electrical Department De-partment as a plant operator and an electrician for 29 years. He has been a member of the Springville Volunteer Fire Dept. and was chief of that department six years. He was a member of the Utah (f. State Fireman's Assn. He was an elder in thex LDS 'Church. Surviving are his wife of i Springville, three sons and four si daughters, Mrs. Hastings (Lu-Jcille) (Lu-Jcille) Smith, Mrs. Vane (Tess) VZobell, Bert Taylor, Lee Tay-Springville; Tay-Springville; Mrs. S. J. A (Carian) Mickesell, of Spring ' ke; Mrs. Byron (Ruth) Duke f Orem; Fred M. Taylor, Hayward, Calif.; a son Ted .Taylor passed away in Janu-ai7; Janu-ai7; 27 grandchildren; two j great-grandchildren; two brothers bro-thers and two sisters, Mrs. Vaughn Olsen, Mrs. William J Gay, and Frank Taylor of Springville; Darwin Taylor of Spanish Fork. |
