Show birthday arty Honors Matron , Mrs. Rachel Phillips, long-time resident of SpringviUe, was honored honor-ed on the occasion of her seventy-fifth seventy-fifth birthday Sunday, with a family fam-ily party at the Phillips residence, Fifth East and Fourth South streets. In connection with the birthday celebration, the family also hel4 their Christmas party and . exchanged ex-changed Christmas gifts among members present. The occasion was also marked by the announcement of the birth of Mrs. Phillips' first great-grandchild, born to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bird at Logan. The gathering of family members mem-bers enjoyed a nicely arranged luncheon and social conversation. Attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Phillips and family, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Phillips and family, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Phillips and family, fam-ily, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Billings and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Will Bird and family, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hodson and family. Lucy Phillips, a teacher at Snow college in Ephraim, was unable to attend, but Mrs. Phillips had spent the past few days with her daugh- ter at Ephraim and had also witnessed wit-nessed the marriage of her grandson, grand-son, Arus Bird, in the Manti temple. |
