Show Springville Birth day Celebration Plans Hearing Completion Plans are practically complete and everything is well underway for the mammoth celebration September Sep-tember IS in commemoration of the arrival of the first pioneer settlers in this community. The entertainment is under the direction direc-tion of the local camps of the Daughters of Pioneers who are being ably assisted by practically every churc'h, civic and social organization or-ganization in the community. Among the mnjor events which promise a full day's entertainment is a program at the high school especially for pioneers. This event will in all probability be given on Thursday. The parade in whic'h some of the most striking floats ever displayed dis-played are under construction is scheduled to be held at 3 p. m. in the afternoon. It will start at the high school and proceed to the City park. Other entertainment outlined includes games for c'hildren, for which numerous prizes will be given the winners; horse shoe pitching, a ball game at the high school and a band concert. The pioneer pageant which is under the direction of Mrs. Eva Crandall will undoubtedly be an outstanding feature of the affair. af-fair. The cast selected for this phase of the entertainment includes: in-cludes: Lela Packard, Howard Salisbury, Mae Huntington. Helen Palfreyman, Lucille Stowell Bird. W. W. Brockbank, villiam T. Tew, Margaret Bird, Zina Condie, John Patrick Jr., Sarah Marie Binks, Delia Baxter. Dally T. Thorn,. Evelyn M. Boyer, M. F. Miner. Ralph Weight' and company, com-pany, string trio, Aleen Condie and company, Mapleton quartet, Hannah Clyde, Mary S. Boyer, Wayne Johnson and Virgil Hafen will have Charge of the scenery and stage settings. The concluding feature of th day will be a dance at Memorial hall.
