Show ALMON FINLEY CELEBRATES HIS BIRTHDAY Alnmn W. Finlcy, pioneer resident resi-dent of 'Springville, celebrated his eightieth birthday anniversary Friday Fri-day at his home. 101 East Fourth North street. His children, most of whom live in Springville, a number num-ber of grandchildren and friends, called during the day to extend felicitations. Mr. Finley was born In Council Bluffs, Iowa, February 24, 1853. He came to Springville with his widowed mother Margaret Ford Finley, at the age of two years. He has lived here since. Mr. Finley is well known as one of the most successful farmers in this vicinity. Despite his advanced advanc-ed age he is still active in mind and body and takes a keen interest in community affairs. He was married to Mrs. Mary Jane Chase Finley, December 23, 1887, at Springville. Their children arc: Mrs. Rena Roylance, Mrs. Lydia Palfreyman, Mrs. Eva Hanson, Han-son, Mrs. Bert Groesbeck, Mae, Bess and Arthur Finley, Springville; Spring-ville; Jack Finley, Puyallup, Wash. There are also 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. |
