Show Springville Politics Take Limelight With Two Parties Piling Candidates Springville politics made a bid for local interest this week with two parties filing their candidates and launching their efforts to gain favor in the public smind. The Citizens Party, at a public primary last Wednesday evening, attended by a representative group of townspeople, named Edward Clyde for the position of mayor.. Other candidates elected include: LeRoy Tingey and Arvil Bird for 4-year councilmen; Mrs. Mary Smart and Alma Fullmer for 2-year 2-year councilmen; Lloyd Ashcraft for city recorder, and Mrs. Janet Crandall for city treasurer. The Independent incumbent party, par-ty, through the circulation of petitions peti-tions signed by some 200 citizens, have filed the following candidates: candi-dates: Fay C. Packard, for mayor; may-or; Edward Boyer and John E. Robertson for 4-year councilmen; Harold Whiting and Murray Peay for 2-year councilmen; Wm. Bring-hurst, Bring-hurst, incumbent, for city recorder, and Mrs. Ruby Twitchell, incumbent, incum-bent, city treasurer. As citizens look over the prospective pros-pective list of city officials, thev are reminded by both parties that the last registration dav for the city election is scheduled for next Tuesday, November 1, and it behooves be-hooves everyone who intends to cast his vote in the coming election, elec-tion, to determine if he is eligible. Places of registration include: District one Mrs. Bernice Bear-dall, Bear-dall, Fifth South and Fourth East; district two Mrs. Julia Sumsion, 124 S.
