Show COMMISSIONERS DECIDE TO COMPLETE INTERIOR OF NEW COURT HOUSE THIS YEAL " The city and county building will be completed and occupied occu-pied within the next twelve months, Steps in that direction were taken Tuesday at a joint session of the city and county commissions. , According to the plans, it is expected that the interior of the building will be finished sometime at the close of 1925 or early in 1926. Immediately following the completion, the various offices of the city and the county will be moved into their new quarters. Architect Joseph Nelson was authorized auth-orized to preiwire the specifications needed for the finishing of the structure. struc-ture. The specifications will be completed within ten days following which the advertising for the bids from contractors will tie published. , Members of the two commissions expressed the thought that actual J work on the interior of the building twill commence sometime in the early part of May. The cost of the contemplated work is estimated to lo oltout $150,-01X1, $150,-01X1, which, however, does not include in-clude the elevntor and the front steps facing west on I'utversity avenue. At least six months will be required re-quired to complete the contract. Necessity for rapid action on the completion of the building was shown in the fact that, the uncompleted uncom-pleted building Is costing the city and county 52,500 each month, which is a clear loss. This amount includes the interest on the money already expended on the building and the cost of heating the building. During the winter months the building build-ing has been steam heated to prevent pre-vent the walls from deteriorating.
