Show Death of a Pioneer Word was received late Friday night that Andreas Petersen of Richfield an uncle of the writer had died that evening even-ing from an accident which happened Thursday noon Mr Petersen was on his way home to dinner when only one block from home he met a man coming along with a couple of burros which frightened his horse turning suddenly upset thebuggy and threw Mr Petersen Peter-sen out on the ground injuring his spine When picked up it was found that his lowe limbs were paralyzed and he kept sinking until 6 p m Friday Fri-day when he passed away He was 74 years of age was born in Giviskud Sogn Voile Amt Denmark He left his native land in 1863 and came to Utah settling in Ephriam and later moved to Richfield when they began to settle on the Sevier River He leaves to mourn his death a widow one daughter and five sons a sister Mrs Niels Jensen Pi ovo and a brother Andrew Petersen of Raymond Alberta Canada |
