The install has been completed and the system tested. We plan to flip the switch April 1, 2010. As part of the joint agreement between the school district and the city, we purchased a MUSCO lighting system to light the courts. The system does a great job of supplying light to the courts while allowing us to organize and schedule usage windows. The usage window works by allowing us to set when the lights are available for usage. The window will be set from dusk to 10:30 p.m. In order to turn the lights on, patrons will have to push a button on the West entrance of the courts. The lights will then turn on and run for one hour. At the 55-minute point of usage a strobe light will begin to flash. Once the strobe flashes, the user will have five minutes to push the button again in order to continue light usage. The system allows the city to control wasteful light usage when the tennis courts are not being used. We are excited for our citizens the opportunity to play tennis in the warmer spring and summer evenings. The lights will be available April 1-Oct. 31, 2010. placed second overall, with Jake Guymon and Justin Slavens, who were undefeated throughout the tournament and played MM's other doubles team, Nick H.
