He dedicates time and energy into our Varsity program. Grant Lemon, Meadow Lark 2nd. Grant has always enjoyed spending time with the boys. He is so dedicated he was willing to continue as Assistant Scoutmaster even though he is now serving in aBYU bishopric. Andy Peck, Wolf Hollow 2nd. Andy has worked with the Varsity scouts for years. He is committed, dependable and generous with his time and talents to help his 20 team members reach their potential. David Voorhees, Wolf Hollow 2nd. Bishop Voorhees understands the need for the venture program and is generous with his time and talents to help the program to be a success. SUB-DISTRICT: Spanish Fork South Clair Talbot, Spanish Fork 9th. Clair has reached out and shown the boys how to accomplish their goals. His ability to touch the individual has helped several of the boys succeed. Mary Afton Howard, Spanish Fork 12th. Mary loves the boys and goes out of her way to make sure they get their awards. She works well with the parents by keeping them informed. Kenneth (KC) Abney, Crosswinds 1st. Whether it has been being a Scoutmaster, stake YM president, bishop, or serving in the Special Forces in Afghanistan, KC has shown love, compassion and leadership. He loves to do humanitarian work and teaches this love to the youth around him. Craig Lewis, Crosswinds 1st. Craig has been an active part of our scout program for many years. He has been one of the driving forces. The young men admire him and he sets a standard for them to live by. Janet Lewis, Crosswinds 1st. Janet has served the Cub Scouts in various positions. She sparks a love for scouting in these young scouts. She makes each boy feel special and loved. Jon Startup. Crosswinds 1st. As Scoutmaster, Webelos leader and assis- tant Varsity coach, Jon has given many years of service to make sure that the boys in his charge learn and have a good experience in scouting. Scott Van Pelt, Crosswinds 1st. Scott is always trying to find new opportunities and experiences for his scouts. He is a great spiritual leader and teacher to the boys. He is creative and fun. Kathy Wride, Crosswinds 1st. Kathy is organized and prepared. But most importantly, the boys love her. She shows each boy love and respect and makes them want to succeed. Rock Permann, River Trail. Rock's love of service and empathy for others make him a special person. He has worked to make FOS and re-chartering a smooth event for the South Stake. Riley DuVall, Riverview. Riley is a great representative from the stake level in the young men/scouting program. He fulfills his responsibilities in communicating to the leaders on a ward level. SUB-DISTRICT: Salem Richard Davidson, Salem 4th. Rob is one of the most dedicated Scout leaders around. He is 100 percent behind what is best for the boys. Allan Hales, Salem 4th. Allan has given years of love and encouragement to the Varsity Scouts, instilling self confidence and responsibility. Michael Stone, Salem 4th. After attending Woodbadge, Michael worked hard to encourage scout leaders to get trained and has worked to get the scouting positions filled and functioning. Don Lehnhoff, Salem 8th. Don is eager and willing to teach scouting skills to his scouts. Don takes the time to help his scouts not succeed in life. SUB-DISTRICT: Salem West Mark Beecher, Salem 1st. Mark organizes high adventure backpacking trips for scouts and their fathers which the scouts rave about for years. Mark helped the young men gain a closer relationship with their fathers and their Father in Heaven. Kalene Mathews, Salem 2nd. Kalene has been active in helping the cubs get a good start in scouting.
