There was great participation from our third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade students. The students had the opportunity to sign up and learn more about the game of chess. Students used their skills competing in matches with other students on their grade level. There were several winners from each grade level and all students had the fun of learning something new. Students at Brockbank were able to invite anyone that they thought was grand to the book fair. Along with reading good books the students and their guests were able to enjoy a light breakfast together. Thank you to our PTA who sponsored this activity. Pictured are Daxton and Kylee Hill with their 'Grand'pa Jerry Hill. Canyon Courtesy photo ANGLES: Natalie Wright, a third-grade teacher at Canyon Elementary, taught her students a fun math lesson about right angles, obtuse angles and acute angles by projecting a picture of the Jefferson Memorial with its columns, corners and peaks onto their class white board. Students got to come up to the board and trace the angles they saw in the picture. They also traced and labeled acute, obtuse and right angles on the letters of the alphabet.
