They celebrated this special occasion at a family dinner held in their honor. Jack and Marilyn were married in the Manti Temple on Sept. 14, 1957. They enjoyed raising their family in Spanish Fork, where Jack served for many years as a City Councilman, Bishop, high school teach and school administrator. Marilyn a was full-time homemaker and served in many capacities in the Church and PTA and was BIRTHDAY TIMES FIVE: Jim and Susan Evans of Lake Shore are having a very fun month celebrating the first birthday of five of their grandchildren. All five were born last September. There have been lots of parties, presents and giggles. Pictured are: Brynn Spotten, daughter of Cameron and Amy Spotten, Wade and Evan Wilde, sons of Drew and Kristen (Bit) Wilde. Paislee Davis, daughter of Kenion and Holly Davis, and Lexie Evans, daughter of Sid and Gigi Evans. Other grandparents include Ron and Beth Spotten, Rod and Gaylene Davis, Jack and Jaylene Gathercoal and Bart and Debbie Wilde. Proud and excited great grandmother is Merlene Evans of Lake Shore. Happy birthday guys! very involved in community service. They continue to serve their Church and now reside in Provo. They are parents of eight children: Bret (Lauren) Leifson, South Jordan; Ronald(Cheryl)Leifson,San Jose, Calif.; Kirk (Darlene) Leifson, Piano, Texas; Robert (Lynne) Leifson, Woodruff; Paulette (Doug) Brown, Doughlasville, Georgia; Jolene (Chad) Harris, Kearns; Lori (Andy) Marshall, Springville; Julie (Jared) Harrison, Springville. They are also proud grandparents of 23 grandchildren. Achievements Wedding Jacob White Jacob White has just spent six weeks this summer interning at Harris Publishing in Idaho Fails," Idaho as Associate Editor for two national magazines; Sled Heads and Dieseliech Magazine. Jacob has a number of articles in Sled Heads Vol. 9 Iss. 3, which was released in August, as well as the September edition of Dieseltech magazine. Jacob's 2002 Ford Powerstroke is also featured in the magazine. Jacob graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 2003 and is currently a senior at Utah State University in Logan. He will graduate in May with a degree in Agricultural Communication. He is the son of Stuart and Shannon White, and grandson of the late Edward White and Calvin and Carol Thomas, all of Spanish Fork. Cody J. Tischner Private Cody J. Tischner recently completed Airborne School and received his wings after successfully completing five qualifying jumps. He is stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia and is presently waiting to begin R.I.P. After R.I.P. he will go to his unit and continue more extensive training.
