Many of you reading this column take fan magazines and are well acquainted with a column written by Baxter Black, He is a former veterinarian turned cowboy poet who writes things that many farmers can relate to. I like sayings or quotes that say a lot in only a few words. Sometimes some people can talk and talk and after they get done you wonder what they said! In a recent column he wrote about having a garden and recommended that people plant one so they would learn how much work goes into producing food and maybe they would appreciate what the American Fanner does for this nation and fellow countrymen. I'm closing this column as he did his with this quote and I promise you that you will not be able to stop thinking about it.
